Valliammaiyar Hindu Teachers’ Training Institute is located at Kulasekaranpatnam, Thoothukudi District, Tamilnadu.The institution aims to provide quality teacher education to deserving women and to enable them to be self-reliant, support their families and be economically and socially self-sufficient.

This institution was established in 1947 by Tamizhar Kavalar Thiru.C.D.Nayagam for developing Womens Education throughout Tamil Nadu, Especially to help backward, downtodden, poor Students as well as widows, orphans and deserted girls. 3577 students have qualified in DTE since commencement.

Mission: To provide Quality Education and create good teachers

The school encourages its students to actively participate in various extra-curricular activities, including the following.
1. Sports – Kabaddi, volleyball, athletics
2. Sloka competitions

Students get involved in voter awareness programs like marches through the village, human chain formation in the village streets and delivery of speeches that encourage people to vote. Students also conduct awareness campaigns for Prevention of AIDS
